Cosy Cross Knit Beanie Hat with attractive Scotland label attached, named after the Isle of Fara.
Fara Beanie- This hat gets its name from the small Island of Fara in Scotland. It is one of the many Orkney islands and lies in Scapa Flow. Scapa Flow is a body of water, about 312 square kilometres, which is sheltered by the larger Orkney Islands. It has a shallow sandy bottom not deeper than 60meters and is one of the great natural harbours of the world. Viking ships anchored in Scapa Flow more than a thousand years ago but it is best known as the site of the United Kingdom's chief naval base during World War I and World War II. Today it is one of the transfer and processing points for North Sea Oil. Fara island itself has been uninhabited since the 1960's. Fara Beanie.
